What Being a Caregiver Means

We believe that the key to outstanding service is the high quality of personnel delivering that service. We cannot teach caring and compassion, but we can discover and reward it.
What Caregivers Do:
Charter Oak team members travel to clients homes to assist with the routines of daily living. Caregivers do everything from light cleaning, cooking, medication reminders and transportation to hands on care such as bathing, dressing, toileting and transferring.
Who We Hire:
Many of our home care team members come to us as certified nurses aides and others have nursing degrees. However many also come to us having informally provided care to a family member or loved one and some come to us with no experience at all. The common thread we look for in hiring is that caregivers be compassionate, trustworthy, dependable and have a heart for others.
How We Work Together:
We take great pride in walking alongside each caregiver providing training materials, on the job training and oversight as needed. Because we believe in the power of community, we bring the team together for several events a year to foster team building.
