Letter from President – End of Year Reflection

Letter from President

Dear COHC Team,

2025 brought a renewed commitment to service of our clients and caregivers.  Every year in December as I reflect back on the past year I am filled with a sense of gratitude.  Sure some years are easier than others but without fail, I am reminded we have much for which to give thanks.  Top among the things to give thanks for is always our outstanding caregivers.  Recently, when I was out in the community, the family members of a client saw me and came up to tell me, “we just want you to know, your company has exceptional caregivers!”  It is times like this which should encourage and remind us that the work we do makes a very real, positive difference in the lives of families daily.

Looking back over the year we have much to celebrate.
  • Serving more of our Nation’s veterans than ever before through our deepening relationship with the VA
  • Increasing quality of care by hiring our first ever Field Coordinator to assist with care supervision
  • Recognizing more fully the good our caregivers provide daily by implementing technology solutions like Caribou which help deliver near real time kudos
  • Caring for our caregivers by enhancing our paid time off program
  • Celebrating 40 years of God’s faithfulness to Charter Oak Home Care

As we look forward into 2026 and the next 40 years, we will continually seek to innovate and grow as we navigate our changing world.  However, while many things may change, our commitment to serving seniors at home and values of excellence, integrity and service will not.  We are truly privileged to care for the most vulnerable in our communities both now and in the year to come.

Committed to Serve,

Conant Schoenly

President
